Overview
micro1 is building an AI training and evaluation project that focuses on national security, intelligence analysis, and government decision-making. The team needs Senior Intelligence Analysts to judge how well AI-generated intelligence assessments hold up against real-world standards. Your background in a civilian intelligence agency, such as the CIA, NSA, MI6/SIS, or GCHQ, will directly shape how these models handle sensitive scenarios. This is a contractor role with remote work and pay between $50 and $100 per hour.
What You'll Do7
- Score AI-produced intelligence assessments and national security scenarios for accuracy, realism, and analytical rigor.
- Check intelligence reports, threat assessments, and strategic analyses for factual soundness and logical consistency.
- Flag unsupported conclusions, missing evidence, internal contradictions, and analytical bias in AI-generated content.
- Test the credibility of cited sources and judge how well the AI communicates uncertainty in its findings.
- Write structured feedback that helps improve AI-generated intelligence products and decision-making exercises.
- Refine scenario-based materials so they mirror actual intelligence and national security challenges.
- Compare AI outputs against established analytical tradecraft and agency procedures.
Requirements6
- Current or prior professional experience inside a civilian intelligence agency, with a focus on intelligence analysis, threat assessment, or national security.
- Deep knowledge of at least one specialty: strategic intelligence, counterterrorism, counterintelligence, geopolitical analysis, or national security threats.
- A track record of producing or reviewing intelligence assessments, analytical reports, or briefings for government decision-makers.
- Familiarity with intelligence analysis methodologies, source evaluation, analytical tradecraft, and relevant agency procedures.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills, plus clear written communication.
- Ability to assess complex information and present findings in an objective, unbiased manner.
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate has worked inside a civilian intelligence agency and can spot analytical gaps in AI-generated national security content. You should bring hands-on experience with threat assessment, source evaluation, and structured analytical techniques. If you have written or reviewed intelligence briefings for government officials, this role fits your background.
