Overview

Mercor seeks board-certified geriatricians, MDs and DOs, to evaluate health AI models with a leading AI lab. You will review de-identified patient charts and judge AI answers to clinical questions in geriatric medicine. The work centers on clinical accuracy, patient safety, and alignment with current standards of care. Flexible part-time hours fit around active practice.

What You'll Do5

  • 1Judge AI responses to geriatric clinical questions against current standards of care, checking accuracy and safety.
  • 2Compare two AI responses for each case and select the stronger one after reading the patient chart.
  • 3Draft structured rationales that explain clinical rigor, completeness, and clarity.
  • 4Identify errors that could put patients at risk and flag them for review.
  • 5Use de-identified patient charts to ground each judgment in the documented history and findings.

Requirements7

  • 1Hold an MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • 2Maintain board certification in geriatric medicine through ABIM or ABFM, issued by an ABMS member board or the AOA.
  • 3Keep an active, unrestricted US medical license.
  • 4Complete residency, plus a fellowship when your specialty requires one.
  • 5See patients in the US now and bring at least one year of independent practice after training.
  • 63+ years of post-training experience preferred.
  • 7Write clear explanations and catch details in complex charts.

Who Should Apply

Board-certified geriatricians who still see US patients and hold an active unrestricted license fit this project. Ideal candidates have at least one year of independent practice, with 3+ years post-training preferred, and can explain clinical judgments in clear writing.

Salary Insight

The posting lists $150.00 per hour for this remote, flexible part-time engagement. That rate matches the specialized credentialing required: active US license, ABIM or ABFM geriatric medicine board certification, and current patient care.

Medical Expert (M.D./D.O.) - Remote Part-Time

Mercor keeps this listing open for physicians who want to shape how frontier AI models handle clinical reasoning. The work fits around your practice: you might write a clinical vignette from a real case, complete with presentation, labs, and imaging, then supply the attending-level answer used as a reference. Other projects ask you to grade model output on diagnostic reasoning, checking whether a differential follows a sensible order, whether the model anchors on a first impression, and whether the proposed workup matches guidelines. You also flag recommendations that read well in a textbook but fail the patient in front of you because of comorbidities, contraindications, or access limits. Projects start on short notice, so Mercor draws from this pool when client demand matches your specialty.
