What You'll Do7
- 1Design realistic FreeCAD tasks that can be executed on a computer and document them clearly in SuperAnnotate.
- 2Prepare the work environment by ensuring FreeCAD is installed, project files are ready, and references/assets are prepared before recording.
- 3Record yourself performing the FreeCAD task from start to finish, following project instructions and keeping the workflow clear and complete.
- 4Provide task context with goals, dimensions, files, and notes so reviewers understand the design intent and how the task was completed.
- 5Demonstrate practical CAD usage by completing sketches with constraints, parametric features, workbenches such as Part Design and TechDraw, and necessary exports or assemblies.
- 6Maintain high submission quality by reviewing recordings and documentation to ensure realism, completeness, and alignment with project guidelines.
- 7Optionally develop task prompts or prompts for AI training to ensure recordings are useful and instructive for model training.
Requirements9
- 1Hands-on FreeCAD experience for parametric modeling, sketching, constraints, technical drawings, exports, or related CAD workflows.
- 2English proficiency at B2 level or higher to understand instructions, document tasks clearly, and communicate with the project team.
- 3Comfort with using a computer, managing files, installing/opening required programs, navigating interfaces, and recording workflows.
- 4Ability to design realistic FreeCAD tasks reflecting product design, mechanical modeling, technical drawing, or open-source CAD use cases.
- 5Strong understanding of FreeCAD fundamentals including Sketcher, constraints, Part Design, Part Workbench, bodies, sketches, pads, pockets, booleans, TechDraw, and file exports.
- 6Ability to verify your setup before recording, ensuring FreeCAD is installed, files are available, and assets/references are ready.
- 7High attention to detail in task preparation, execution, and making the recording understandable and complete.
- 8Reliable, self-directed, able to deliver consistent quality in an hourly remote contractor workflow across time zones.
- 9Additional professional skills in mechanical/product design, engineering, technical documentation, or related computer-based workflows are a plus.
