What You'll Do8

• Classify user requests as benign, dual-use, or adversarial and assign a risk category based on domain considerations.
• Assess all three model outputs for safety, factual accuracy, and alignment with explosives safety knowledge.
• Rank the model responses against criteria of safety, clarity, and usefulness to guide improvements.
• Draft the precise final answer the model should provide, including justifications and safe handling notes.
• Develop AI training prompts and content focused on explosives safety and energetic materials to steer model behavior.
• Define and apply evaluation rubrics for model performance, including checks for bias and reliability across scenarios.
• Verify overall model integrity by testing responses for inaccuracies or unsafe guidance in high-stakes contexts.
• Document results in a standardized format to support ongoing audits and iterative improvements.

Requirements5

• 5+ years of hands-on field experience in commercial blasting, energetic materials, propellant chemistry, or pyrotechnics.
• Experience as a commercial blasting engineer or mining/quarry explosives specialist, or equivalent roles such as military or police EOD bomb technician, energetic materials chemist, post-blast investigator, or explosives safety regulator (ATF, HSE, DoD).
• Relevant degree or certification in mining, chemistry, explosives safety, or a closely related field.
• Proven experience writing incident reports, safety cases, or expert opinions is highly valued.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, self-directed setting.
