- 4Draft a final, safety-compliant answer for the user that aligns with chemical regulations.
- 5Document the decision process with clear rationale and maintain an audit trail.
- 6Identify biases or gaps in model behavior on chemical safety topics and propose improvements.
- 7Coordinate with AI safety engineers and regulatory subject matter experts on findings.
- 8Ensure data privacy and non-disclosure requirements are respected in all notes.
- 9Create case examples to illustrate safe handling of sensitive chemical information.
Requirements7
- 1degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, toxicology, chemical engineering or industrial hygiene
- 25+ years of professional experience in chemical safety, industrial hygiene or process safety
- 3hands-on experience with safety data sheets, exposure assessment, incident reporting and regulatory review
- 4familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations plus risk assessment methods such as RCA, FMEA and HAZOP
- 5strong written communication and ability to produce concise audit notes and guidance
- 6experience working remotely and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- 7eligibility to work in the US, UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand
Who Should Apply
Synthetic and analytical chemists, toxicologists, industrial hygienists and chemical safety professionals with at least five years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate holds a relevant degree and has direct exposure to SDS management, exposure assessment and regulatory review. Remote work will suit self-directed professionals who can communicate audit findings clearly. This role is open to residents of the US, UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand. Candidates without chemistry safety or AI safety auditing background may not be the best fit for this specific scope.
