Excel Quality Lead for Remote Spreadsheet Training
Overview
As an hourly remote contractor, you oversee quality, consistency, and trainer performance across Excel-driven spreadsheet AI training projects. You will evaluate AI-generated formulas, spreadsheet workflows, Pivot Tables guidance, and data-cleaning steps, rating outputs against project rubrics. Develop and maintain Excel documentation, style guides, onboarding materials, and FAQs to keep contributors aligned. Lead onboarding sessions and guide distant trainers, responding to questions and nudging dormant contributors back into activity.
What You'll Do9
- 1Provide private feedback via DMs on Excel spreadsheet items and outputs.
- 2Review AI-generated formulas, spreadsheet workflows, Pivot Tables guidance, and data-cleaning steps; evaluate models and charts.
- 3Share guideline updates and Excel-specific standards on Discord.
- 4Answer questions about formulas, references, lookup logic, dynamic arrays, Power Query, modeling assumptions, and rubric interpretation.
- 5DM inactive contributors and manage activation follow-ups.
- 6Create Excel documentation, style guides, examples, trackers, FAQs, onboarding materials.
- 7Run onboarding and training calls for Excel contributors.
- 8Flag misleading analysis, fragile spreadsheet logic, incorrect formulas, or risky assumptions.
- 9Suggest QA process improvements based on recurring spreadsheet-quality gaps.
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, accounting, business analytics, economics, statistics, operations, information systems, or equivalent professional experience.
- 2Strong command of English for following guidelines and providing clear feedback.
- 33+ years of professional Excel experience in analysis, reporting, financial modeling, operations, BI, accounting, data cleaning, training, or spreadsheet QA.
- 4Solid understanding of formulas, functions, cell references, lookup logic, dynamic arrays, Pivot Tables, charts, conditional formatting, data validation, and modeling best practices.
- 5Ability to identify issues such as incorrect formulas, wrong references, circular logic, poor assumptions, missing edge cases, fragile models, misleading charts, or incomplete explanations.
- 6Familiarity with advanced Excel features such as XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, FILTER, SORT, UNIQUE, LET, LAMBDA, Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA/macros, Solver, and scenario modeling is preferred.
- 7Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, analysts, reviewers, finance professionals, educators, or QAs is strongly preferred.
- 8Comfortable with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, Excel Online, and PM systems.
- 9Highly organized and able to maintain style guides, trackers, FAQs, calibration tasks, and onboarding materials.
- 10Experience with AI training, data annotation, LLM evaluation, spreadsheet QA, or rubric-based review is a strong plus.

Salary Insight
