Overview

Turing seeks an endocrinologist to refine large language models like ChatGPT for medical reasoning. You will design clinical scenarios, review AI outputs for diagnostic accuracy, and spot gaps across diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and bone metabolism topics. The role runs 1 month with possible extension, fully remote, 20–40 hours per week. Your feedback shapes AI tools for clinical and educational use.

What You'll Do5

  • Create and solve complex endocrine cases, from difficult diabetes management to thyroid, adrenal, and pituitary disorders.
  • Assess AI-generated answers for diagnostic precision, clinical judgment, and evidence-based reasoning.
  • Detect weaknesses in model knowledge across endocrinology subspecialties such as diabetes, bone metabolism, and reproductive endocrinology.
  • Work with AI researchers and fellow physicians to raise model quality and reliability.
  • Deliver structured expert feedback that guides next-generation AI for clinical and educational applications.

Requirements6

  • MD or equivalent degree, with active practice within the last 3+ years.
  • Board certification or equivalent qualification in Endocrinology.
  • Solid command of endocrine medicine: diabetes, thyroid disorders, adrenal pathology, pituitary diseases, and metabolic bone disease.
  • Ability to explain complex medical reasoning in clear, patient-friendly language.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Education from a top-tier institution (e.g., Harvard, Stanford, UCSF, Oxford).

Preferred Qualifications1

  • Familiarity with digital medical tools.

Who Should Apply

Board-certified endocrinologists with recent clinical practice and a strong grasp of diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, pituitary, and bone disease. The role suits someone who can translate complex medical reasoning into clear language and wants to improve AI systems for clinical and educational use.
