Overview

Turing seeks an Emergency Medicine physician to help refine large language models like ChatGPT for clinical accuracy. You will design complex emergency scenarios, from trauma resuscitation to toxicology, and evaluate AI responses for diagnostic soundness and evidence-based reasoning. Your expertise in triage protocols and acute care will directly shape safer, more reliable medical AI. This fully remote contractor role runs 20-40 hours per week for an initial month, with potential extension.

What You'll Do5

  • Create and solve challenging clinical vignettes that mirror real emergency medicine cases, including acute trauma and rapid differentials.
  • Assess AI-generated answers for diagnostic precision, clinical judgment, and adherence to evidence-based guidelines in high-acuity settings.
  • Spot gaps in AI comprehension across emergency presentations and procedures.
  • Work with AI researchers and fellow physicians to enhance model quality and reliability.
  • Deliver structured expert feedback that guides the development of next-generation clinical and educational AI tools.

Requirements6

  • MD or equivalent degree with active practice within the last 3+ years.
  • Board certification or equivalent in Emergency Medicine.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of emergency medicine, covering trauma, resuscitation, toxicology, and acute care.
  • Ability to explain complex medical reasoning in clear, patient-friendly terms.
  • Strong written and spoken English.
  • Graduation from a top-tier institution (e.g., Harvard, Stanford, UCSF, Oxford).

Preferred Qualifications1

  • Familiarity with digital medical tools

Who Should Apply
