Corporate Development Expert | $2000 One-Time Remote
Overview
We're assembling a top-tier library of in-house corporate development deliverables. As a remote expert, you'll take on self-contained M&A exercises built from mock source files—like CIMs, diligence reports, term sheets, and board decks—and produce the final work product, which gets graded against a rubric. This is a paid, hourly engagement focused on real-world deal execution craft.
What You'll Do4
- 1Construct ownership-level financial models, including three-statement models, DCF valuations, trading and transaction comps, accretion/dilution analyses, and cap table / equity waterfall schedules.
- 2Prepare and compare deal documents: draft IOIs, LOIs, term sheets, bid summaries, and evaluate alternative deal structures and consideration economics.
- 3Produce board-level and process materials such as management presentations, data packs, target buyer universes, board/committee decks, closing mechanics, and funds-flow exhibits.
- 4Lead transaction lifecycle work: run inbound deal screens, build diligence request lists, synthesize findings, quantify synergies, perform carve-out analysis, and draft 100-day integration plans.
Requirements3
- 1At least 4+ years in an in-house corporate development or M&A role at an operating company.
- 2Direct, hands-on responsibility for live deals from start to finish—not just supporting a deal team.
- 3Bonus points for prior investment banking, private equity, or Big 4 transaction advisory experience before moving in-house.
Who Should Apply
This is for operators who have sat on the buyer's side and truly owned transactions—from sourcing and diligence through signing and integration. If you've spent your career in sell-side or advisory roles, this isn't the right fit. You're comfortable working independently against a rubric and can deliver polished, board-ready materials without hand-holding.
Salary Insight
$85.00 - $100.00/hr (hourly contract engagement).

Application Tip
Instead of just listing past deals, attach a sample work product you built yourself—like a one-page merger model or term sheet comparison—and briefly annotate what you decided and why. That demonstrates the end-to-end ownership this role demands.
