Overview

Work remotely on an AI training initiative focused on chemistry, evaluating AI-generated responses for accuracy and logical flow. Provide expert feedback to steer models toward correct, clearly explained solutions and precise calculations. Produce high-quality chemical explanations and model solutions across organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, and physical chemistry to illustrate proper methods. This program may lead to future opportunities and early outreach to qualified experts through our expert network.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Review AI-produced chemistry answers for accuracy, logical reasoning, and alignment with the prompt.
  • 2Assess step-by-step solution approaches and flag errors in calculations, reaction mechanisms, or underlying concepts.
  • 3Produce clear, well-structured chemical explanations that demonstrate correct methods.
  • 4Cross-check factual details against public sources and annotate any inconsistencies.
  • 5Rank competing AI responses by chemical correctness and reasoning quality to guide model improvements.
  • 6Help design training prompts and reference solutions to strengthen AI learning in chemistry topics.
  • 7Document outcomes and contribute to training content for future AI model evaluation.

Requirements7

  • 1Master's or PhD in Chemistry or a related field from a high-ranking university.
  • 2Strong command of chemical reactions and stoichiometry, organic mechanisms, analytical methods, and physical/quantum chemistry.
  • 3Expert at fact-checking information using public sources and translating theory into practical solutions.
  • 4English proficiency at C1 level or higher with excellent writing skills.
  • 5Background in research, analytical writing, debate, programming, or chemistry.
  • 6Bonus: data labeling, RLHF, or AI model evaluation experience.
  • 7For PhD holders, experience developing or critically reviewing complex chemistry content.

Who Should Apply

Ideal candidates hold an advanced degree in chemistry and have demonstrated critical evaluation of scientific material. They should be comfortable cross-checking facts against public sources and articulating complex ideas in writing. This role suits researchers who enjoy translating chemistry concepts into clear AI training feedback. Those focused solely on bench work without experience in analysis, writing, or AI contexts may be less suitable. PhD holders with experience developing or reviewing complex chemistry content will likely fit especially well.
