Business Analyst (Finance)
Overview
This remote contract role places you inside a research project that improves AI models by applying your finance expertise. You will review model outputs across corporate finance, investment banking, FP&A, and private equity, then flag where the models fall short. The project runs for about one month at a flexible 10-30 hours per week, with possible extension based on performance. No prior AI experience is required; your existing financial knowledge and analytical judgment carry the work.
What You'll Do4
- 1Evaluate finance-related outputs produced by AI systems and pinpoint specific instances where the model's performance is weak.
- 2Develop scoring rubrics and structured assessments for focused areas like deal analysis, M&A assessments, and investment scenarios.
- 3Collaborate with AI researchers and fellow finance experts to shape training approaches, evaluation criteria, and benchmark tasks.
- 4Provide detailed feedback and domain insight that helps researchers see where the model underperforms in finance reasoning.
Requirements4
- 1At least 2 years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, FP&A, accounting, or financial consulting.
- 2An advanced finance credential or degree such as a cleared CFA (Level I, II, or III), CA, CPA, or MBA in Finance. Equivalent on-the-job training and experience will also be considered.
- 3Strong command of financial concepts within your specialization, including corporate finance, investment analysis, asset management, and risk management.
- 4Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
