Overview
As a Senior Proxy Engineer, you will lead a team of L1 and L2 engineers while managing the configuration, administration, and monitoring of network security infrastructure in a 24/7 environment. Your primary focus will be on Netskope or McAfee Proxy solutions, where you will investigate and resolve incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure SLA compliance. You will also commission and integrate proxy solutions with Active Directory, IAM, SIEM, SOAR, and email tools. The role involves designing proxy architectures for data center, disaster recovery, cloud, and branch office environments. Troubleshooting across all OSI layers and conducting packet analysis with Wireshark will be part of your daily tasks.

- 1Lead and mentor a team of L1 and L2 engineers, providing guidance and technical direction.
- 2Manage day-to-day configuration, administration, and monitoring of network security infrastructure in a 24/7 environment.
- 3Investigate, isolate, and resolve proxy incidents, perform root cause analysis, and ensure ticket closure within SLA.
- 4Commission, implement, and integrate proxy solutions with Active Directory, IAM, SIEM, SOAR, and email tools.
- 5Conduct daily performance checks, periodic audits, and compliance patch updates.
- 6Coordinate with OEMs for TAC support, RMA, and reconfiguration of proxy systems.
- 7Create technical documentation, SOPs, runbooks, and as-built network diagrams.
- 8Troubleshoot layers 1 through 7 of the OSI model and conduct packet analysis using Wireshark or PCAP.
- 9Design and implement proxy solutions for data center, disaster recovery, cloud, and branch office environments.
Requirements7
- 13 to 6 years of experience in network security, with at least 3 years specifically managing proxy solutions.
- 2Hands-on expertise in troubleshooting and monitoring proxy infrastructure, not just monitoring.
- 3Proficiency with Netskope or McAfee Proxy products.
- 4Experience working in Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
- 5Skills in automation using scripting, configuration tools, and REST API/SDK integrations.
- 6Strong understanding of network monitoring and packet capture analysis tools.
- 7Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated success in solving complex issues.
