Overview
This freelance contract places senior finance experts in a remote advisory role, responding to both routine support requests and complex, data-heavy accounting questions through Omni Chat. You will work in QuickBooks Online, analyze financial data, and deliver guidance that helps business owners act on their numbers. The project runs 10 weeks at up to 40 hours per week, with possible extension. The selection process includes a Vetsmith Challenge and profile screening by clients.
What You'll Do5
- 1Answer general help inquiries and advanced accounting and finance questions through Omni Chat.
- 2Review financial data to identify trends and produce clear accounting guidance for clients.
- 3Resolve complex bookkeeping, accounting, and finance issues with attention to US-based SMBs.
- 4Translate financial analysis into actionable, advisory-based recommendations for business owners.
- 5Manage client conversations with senior-level judgment, supporting the needs of CFO and Controller-level decision makers.
Requirements5
- 15+ years of professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or financial consulting.
- 2Senior-level background as a CFO, COO with finance oversight, Financial Controller, Financial Director, VP of Finance, or equivalent.
- 3Proven experience advising three or more organizations, with US-based SMB clients a preference.
- 4Prior role as a CFO Advisor, Controller, Finance Manager, or Financial Consultant.
- 5Hands-on ability with QuickBooks Online and comfort answering complex, data-heavy accounting queries through chat.
