PE / M&A Document Sourcing Expert | Remote
Overview
This role involves sourcing and providing eligible financial transaction documents—such as Confidential Information Memoranda, Share Purchase Agreements, and Private Equity board decks—to train next-generation AI systems. The expert must ensure all documents are free from confidentiality agreements, NDA protections, or material non-public information, then log metadata and classify documents by transaction structure. It is a fully remote contractor position that values domain expertise in PE/M&A over prior AI experience.
What You'll Do6
- 1Source and provide eligible finance transaction documents including CIMs, SIMs, Investment Committee Memos, SPAs, and related deal materials.
- 2Validate that provided documents are free from confidentiality agreements, NDA protections, MNPI, or proprietary restrictions.
- 3Log detailed document metadata such as transaction type, industry, deal structure, and origin for traceability and compliance.
- 4Classify documents according to transaction structure and financial context.
- 5Work closely with compliance and operations teams to uphold sourcing standards and support seamless submission workflows.
- 6Exercise careful judgment to differentiate public and restricted financial information.
Requirements6
- 1Demonstrated experience in private equity, investment banking, M&A, capital markets, transaction advisory, corporate development, or due diligence.
- 2Hands-on familiarity with a wide variety of transaction documentation from real-world deal execution or financial advisory.
- 3Expert ability to identify legally shareable materials and distinguish them from materials subject to confidential, NDA, or MNPI restrictions.
- 4Superior attention to detail when reviewing, validating, and classifying financial documents.
- 5Strong organizational skills for managing document tracking, metadata logging, and precise submission records.
- 6Comfortable operating independently in a fully remote, asynchronous environment with evolving requirements.
Who Should Apply
An ideal candidate has deep experience in PE/M&A deal documentation, such as working at private equity firms, investment banks, or Big 4 advisory. They are detail-oriented, understand confidentiality and MNPI rules, and can source and vet documents independently. Familiarity with SEC EDGAR, M&A filings, or licensed data providers is a strong plus.
