This role is about overseeing cash posting and payment reconciliation processes while helping to train AI systems designed to automate these workflows. You'll apply your deep knowledge of electronic remittance processing, EOB interpretation, and lockbox reconciliation to evaluate AI-generated outputs and improve their accuracy. What You'll Do7
- 1Manage end-to-end cash posting and reconciliation, covering ERA/835 processing, manual EOB posting, and lockbox reconciliation.
- 2Review AI-generated payment posting outputs and ERA matching suggestions to verify their correctness and completeness.
- 3Reconcile posted payments against bank deposits, lockbox reports, and payer remittances to maintain accurate financial records.
- 4Identify and resolve posting errors, misapplied payments, and unapplied cash in a timely manner.
- 5Track key performance indicators like posting accuracy, days to post, unapplied cash balances, and reconciliation variances.
- 6Collaborate with billing, A/R, and finance teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure a smooth cash close.
- 7Provide structured feedback on AI outputs and annotate data to support training datasets.
Requirements7
- 1At least 5 years of experience in cash posting, payment reconciliation, or revenue cycle operations, including 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
- 2Expertise in ERA/835 electronic remittance processing, EOB interpretation, and lockbox reconciliation.
- 3Strong knowledge of payer payment methodologies, remittance adjustment reason codes, and high-volume multi-payer posting operations.
- 4Proficiency with billing systems such as Epic, Athenahealth, or similar platforms.
- 5Excellent written and verbal English communication skills and a sharp eye for detail to catch errors in AI-generated outputs.
- 6Preferred certifications: CRCR, CPC, or CHFP.
- 7Familiarity with automated ERA posting platforms, RPA-driven solutions, and AI tools is a plus.
