Overview

An established company building the next generation of dialog agents for education, entertainment, and question-answering needs a Go engineer to review and validate AI-generated code. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features, and apply your Go expertise to resolve difficult coding issues that surface during AI validation. The role includes managing development cycles, setting goals and deadlines, and giving teammates constructive code feedback. As a contractor, you get flexibility in contract duration and committed hours, and the process includes two internal interviews: a 60-minute technical round and a 15-30 minute cultural and offer discussion.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Check that code and solutions produced by the AI system align with quality standards and best practices.
  • 2Plan the development cycle and set priorities, goals, and deadlines for the team.
  • 3Use Go expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex coding problems that come up during AI validation.
  • 4Foster an environment of innovation, open communication, and continuous improvement among team members.
  • 5Validate AI-generated code for accuracy, efficiency, and dependability.
  • 6Partner with cross-functional teams to identify ways to improve the AI system and integrate it with other components.
  • 7Review teammates' code and offer constructive feedback to maintain a high standard of software quality.

Requirements11

  • 1Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2Have at least 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
  • 3Show leadership experience, ideally managing a group of software engineers.
  • 4Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the Go programming language and software development best practices.
  • 5Some experience with AI systems and code generation technologies is desirable.
  • 6Proactively identify and contribute to public GitHub repositories in need of improvement, including adding features or refactoring code that may affect projects with 50K+ lines of code.
  • 7Past use of GitHub is a plus.
  • 8Ability to train LLM models using high-quality, stable, and scalable backend components and current coding best practices across various languages and frameworks.
  • 9Ability to work closely with developers, inspire them, and lead by example.
  • 10Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
  • 11Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Who Should Apply

The ideal candidate has deep Go expertise, a solid software engineering background, and leadership experience, ideally managing other engineers. You should be comfortable reviewing AI-generated code, contributing to large public GitHub projects, and training LLM models with production-quality backend components. This role is less suitable for engineers who prefer hands-on feature building over code review and validation, or who are not ready to lead and mentor teammates. Common reasons candidates score low on fit include lacking demonstrable experience with Go beyond basic use and having no track record of contributing to public repositories. Weak English communication or an inability to articulate critical feedback on code also tends to hurt applications.

Application Tip

Highlight specific Go projects you have worked on, especially any involving AI-generated code, validation, or refactoring large codebases. Quantify your impact in public GitHub repositories by mentioning pull requests merged, lines of code changed, or issues resolved, and be ready to explain how you handled a difficult coding problem during the 60-minute technical interview.

Senior Software Engineer – Go (LLM Evaluation & Repository Validation)

This role centers on building LLM evaluation datasets that teach models to solve realistic software engineering problems. You will triage GitHub issues from popular open-source repositories, set up Docker containers and code environments, and run modified codebases in local environments to measure how well models handle bug-fixing tasks. The work is hands-on and includes evaluating unit test coverage, collaborating with researchers to identify challenging tasks, and the option to lead junior engineers. Projects draw on public repository histories with a human-in-the-loop, synthetic approach to expand task coverage across Go and other programming languages.
