- 1Examine sample or template contracts and other legal documents to evaluate clarity, enforceability, and risk.
- 2Spot and analyze potentially risky or problematic clauses, then provide detailed written commentary.
- 3Write brief memos that summarize findings, highlight key risk areas, and suggest improvements for each document.
- 4Conduct basic legal research using only public sources to support your analysis and recommendations.
- 5Explain complex legal concepts in plain language for audiences without a legal background.
- 6Follow confidentiality and conflict-of-interest rules strictly, working only with public or synthetic data.
Requirements7
- 1Juris Doctor (JD) degree with active or lapsed bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction.
- 2At least 4 years of practice experience, with a strong focus on document-heavy legal work such as contracts, compliance, or transactions.
- 3Proven expertise in contract drafting, review, and risk assessment.
- 4Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts to diverse audiences.
- 5Meticulous attention to detail and a methodical approach to legal analysis.
- 6Demonstrated commitment to confidentiality and careful management of conflicts of interest.
- 7Experience with or interest in technology, AI, or legal operations is a plus.
