Overview
micro1 is hiring experienced investment banking and M&A professionals to build realistic transaction environments and use AI agents to create and review valuation models, deal materials, and evaluation criteria. You will turn live-deal workflows into multi-step tasks that test how well AI systems handle complex transaction work. The role is remote, with a preference for US/Canada, and also considers the UK and Latin America. Expect to commit at least 10 hours per week, with 20+ preferred, and each task takes about 3 hours after an initial 15-hour environment development. Pay ranges from $60 to $120 per hour, paid per task.

- Independently verify the quality of materials produced with AI agents.

- Corporate carve-out experience is strongly preferred.
- Experience at a top-tier investment bank or M&A advisory firm is preferred.
- Industrials sector experience is preferred.
- Experience developing review standards, training junior professionals, or writing internal playbooks is preferred.
- Prior benchmark development or AI evaluation experience is preferred.
- Availability for 20+ hours per week is preferred.
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate has 5+ years in investment banking or M&A, has built valuation models and client materials for live deals, and has used agentic AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor for substantive work.
