- 2Excellent writing, editing, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to accurately transcribe and analyse audio across general consumer contexts.
- 3Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines while committing 10–20 hours per week.
- 4Background in linguistics, humanities, social sciences, journalism, translation, or a related field is preferred, as is prior experience with transcription or evaluation workflows.
- 5Familiarity with differences between New Zealand English and other English varieties, and an interest in AI and language model research.
Who Should Apply
This role is perfect for someone with a sharp ear for regional language nuances, strong writing skills, and a methodical approach to evaluation. You thrive on detail-oriented tasks and are comfortable working independently on a flexible schedule. A background in linguistics, journalism, or related fields is a plus, but a passion for language and AI is key.
