Overview

This role involves applying expertise in Maori language and culture to train next-generation AI systems by transcribing, analyzing, and annotating multimedia content. You will help shape how AI models learn, reason, and perform, with a focus on linguistic accuracy and cultural sensitivity. The position is part-time and fully remote, requiring at least 15 hours per week.

What You'll Do7

• 1Transcribe video content in Maori and English with precision, outlining clear timestamps.
• 2Describe and interpret the emotional tone and intent of the speaker within multimedia content.
• 3Analyze and document grammar, tone, and conceptual meanings in both languages.
• 4Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, insightful linguistic analysis and feedback.
• 5Perform complex language tasks supporting language preservation and cross-cultural understanding.
• 6Ensure all transcriptions and analyses maintain strict confidentiality and cultural sensitivity.
• 7Contribute at least 15 hours per week to project work and collaborative meetings.

Requirements7

• 1Fluent proficiency in both Maori and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• 2Demonstrated experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic analysis.
• 3Deep understanding of Maori language, culture, and contextual concepts.
