Overview
CITY HOME is hiring a Digital Tech for its Content Studio in Tamarac, FL, on a six month freelance contract. You act as the quality gate between the photography and retouching teams, checking studio captures for color accuracy, exposure, and brand fit before any image reaches marketing channels. The role also covers AI image generation for product visuals, screening vendor assets, and keeping the image library organized. You report to the Supervisor, Creative, within the Core Creative department.
What You'll Do8
- Inspect studio images for consistency, color accuracy, exposure, and brand standards, then send photographers specific feedback on what to correct (40%).
- Produce or refine product shots with approved AI image generation tools and hold the output to the same quality bar (10%).
- Screen image assets arriving from external vendors for color, technical, and quality standards before they enter the library (15%).
- Catalog and label files inside the image management system so project status stays visible and retrieval stays fast (5%).
- Write detailed retouching briefs that flag required corrections, then partner with the retouching team to confirm visual accuracy (15%).
- Keep quality guidelines current, help carry out process improvements, and enforce technical specs such as color profiles and resolution (5%).
- Take part in daily team syncs and cross-functional updates (5%).
- Document quality control standards and revise procedures when the workflow changes (5%).
Requirements9
- 3+ years of experience in photography quality control, post-production, or a similar role.
- A sharp eye for visual consistency, fine detail, and color accuracy.
- Hands-on knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Bridge, and Capture One.
- Comfort with Microsoft Office (SharePoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Working knowledge of file management systems and workflow tracking tools.
- Able to manage several projects at once and give clear, useful feedback to teammates.
- Available Monday through Friday on-site at the Tamarac corporate office, with occasional longer hours during seasonal or high-volume periods.
- Able to sit at a computer for extended stretches and lift up to 20 lbs of equipment or product samples.
- Willing to travel about 10% of the time, including possible trips for TV shoots.
Preferred Qualifications3
- Bachelor's degree in Photography, Visual Arts, Graphic Design, or a related field
- Familiarity with furniture photography or product imagery
- Valid driver's license
Who Should Apply
Photographers with three or more years in studio quality control or post-production fit this role well. Bring a trained eye for color and exposure, fluency in Capture One, Photoshop, and Bridge, and the organization to keep a large image library in order.
