Overview

Mercor seeks board-certified dermatologists to review how health AI models answer clinical questions. You will work from de-identified patient charts, compare two model responses, and judge which one holds up against standards of care. The work supports a leading AI lab and runs remote with flexible part-time hours. ABD Dermatology certification and an active US license are central to the role.

What You'll Do5

  • 1Score dermatology answers from AI models for clinical accuracy, safety, and fit with current standards of care.
  • 2Compare two model responses against the same de-identified chart and select the stronger answer.
  • 3Write structured rationales that address clinical rigor, completeness, and clarity.
  • 4Identify errors or omissions that could put patient safety at risk.
  • 5Check model output against chart details before you assign a judgment.

Requirements7

  • 1MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • 2Board certification in ABD Dermatology through an ABMS member board or the AOA.
  • 3Active, unrestricted medical license in the US.
  • 4Completed residency, plus a fellowship where your specialty requires one.
  • 5Current US practice with patients and at least 1 year of independent practice after training.
  • 63 or more years of post-training experience preferred.
  • 7Clear written communication and strong attention to detail.

Who Should Apply

Board-certified dermatologists who still see US patients and hold an active, unrestricted license fit this review work. The role suits a clinician with at least 1 year of independent practice, strong chart-reading habits, and clear written reasoning. Three or more years after training strengthens the case.

Application Tip

Lead with your active, unrestricted US license, ABD Dermatology board certification, and current patient practice. Dermatologist - Medical AI Content Reviewer (USA)

Turing, headquartered in San Francisco, builds training data and evaluation pipelines for frontier AI labs and enterprise clients. This contract brings licensed dermatologists into that pipeline as expert reviewers of model output in the medical domain. You will work inside a web-based tool, examining dermatology images for diagnostic usability and flagging problems like blur, poor lighting, exposure errors, colour shifts, and bad framing. Where the image supports it, you name the likely skin condition, give a confidence rating, and write out your reasoning. Text outputs get the same scrutiny, from diagnoses and treatment plans to case summaries. The engagement runs 12 weeks at 40 hours per week, fully remote, with at least 4 hours overlapping Pacific Standard Time each day.
