Overview
Mercor is teaming up with a premier AI research lab to recruit seasoned cybersecurity professionals for a short-term, high-impact project. In this role, you'll leverage your expertise in low-level systems programming and security vulnerability classification to help train AI models in threat detection and reasoning. The engagement starts with a paid work trial and could extend into a roughly two-month project, all fully remote.
What You'll Do4
- 1Analyze and evaluate content to spot potential security weaknesses, applying pattern recognition and classification techniques in an AI context.
- 2Work asynchronously with a group of expert colleagues to craft, solve, and review challenging, real-world security problems.
- 3Contribute to improving how AI models detect and reason about threats by providing detailed assessments of vulnerabilities.
- 4Complete a paid work trial to demonstrate your skills, followed by potential longer-term project work based on performance.
Requirements7
- 1At least 2 years of hands-on programming experience, ideally with low-level languages such as C, C++, or Java.
- 2Familiarity with security vulnerability classification standards like OWASP or CVEs.
- 3Solid understanding of core cybersecurity concepts, including web security and common attack vectors.
- 4Strong attention to detail and exceptional pattern recognition abilities.
