Listing checked September 24, 2026 · pay as published by SME Careers
Overview
Operate as a remote contract reviewer focused on the quality of image and video annotations for computer vision tasks. You’ll verify annotation outputs against project guidelines, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Key checks include bounding boxes, segmentation masks, polygons, keypoints, and video tracks, with emphasis on label correctness and boundary placement. You will provide precise, actionable feedback to annotators and apply project-specific corrections. This role is with SME Careers, the AI data services arm of SuperAnnotate, supporting training data for leading AI models.
What You'll Do8
- 1Review image and video annotations for accuracy, completeness, consistency, and guideline compliance.
- 2Evaluate outputs such as bounding boxes, classes, attributes, segmentation masks, polygons, keypoints, image labels, and video tracking results.
- 3Identify annotation issues including missing objects, incorrect labels, inaccurate boundaries, duplicated boxes, and unclear edge cases.
- 4Make corrections according to project instructions and quality standards.
- 5Provide clear, actionable feedback to annotators or project teams to drive improvements.
- 6Apply detailed project rules for occlusion, truncation, blur, small objects, overlapping items, and ambiguous cases consistently.
- 7Escalate unclear cases to the project team for clarification and follow up as needed.
- 8Maintain reliable QA quality across large batches while preserving accuracy and throughput.
Requirements9
- 1prior experience with computer vision annotation, image annotation, video annotation, or annotation QA is preferred.
- 2experience reviewing or creating annotations such as bounding boxes, polygons, segmentation masks, keypoints, object classes, attributes, image classification, or video object tracking.
- 3strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing, incorrect, inconsistent, overlapping, mislabeled, or poorly placed annotations.
- 4comfortable following detailed annotation guidelines, edge-case rules, quality standards, and project instructions.
- 5ability to review image and video data consistently across large batches while maintaining accuracy and speed.
- 6comfortable making corrections when required and explaining annotation errors clearly.
- 7good professional proficiency in English to understand guidelines, ask questions, and provide written feedback.
- 8able to work independently in an hourly remote workflow and commit consistent working hours based on project needs.
- 9prior experience with annotation platforms such as SuperAnnotate, Labelbox, CVAT, Scale AI, Appen, Remotasks, Toloka, or similar tools.
Who Should Apply
Applicants with hands-on CV annotation and QA experience will excel here. Look for candidates who understand bounding boxes, segmentation masks, polygons, keypoints, and video tracking and can follow complex guidelines. The role suits those who can work independently in a remote, hourly setup and provide clear feedback. It may not be a good fit for applicants lacking English proficiency or the ability to maintain steady, reliable hours.
