What You'll Do7
- 1Produce, check, and improve civil and structural drawing packages, including plans, elevations, sections, and schedules, with BIM software such as Revit or ArchiCAD.
- 2Build and maintain BIM models that accurately represent complex or multi-building projects and meet applicable code families (Eurocode, ACI, ASCE, IS, BS, etc.).
- 3Export and verify IFC files (IFC 2x3 or IFC4), ensuring geometry, classification, and mapping are correct for coordination and data exchange.
- 4Explain technical decisions and design rationale in writing and speech, with a focus on clarity and precision.
- 5Offer practical insights by reviewing project requirements, spotting constructability problems, and proposing improvements from your professional experience.
- 6Evaluate and give feedback on the usability and functionality of BIM tools or data workflows.
- 7Deliver high-quality domain input that will directly shape the training and evaluation of AI-powered engineering solutions.
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architecture (Master’s preferred).
- 2At least 5 years of hands-on, post-degree practice authoring complete drawing sets and leading model development, not just markups or reviews.
- 3Minimum 3 years of daily, expert-level BIM authoring in Revit, ArchiCAD, or BlenderBIM, including IFC export and validation.
- 4Direct involvement in projects that required multidisciplinary coordination and delivery of complex or multi-building solutions.
- 5Demonstrated ability to reference and apply Eurocode, ACI, ASCE, IS, or BS standards in design work.
- 6Fluent written and spoken English, with a strong focus on precise technical communication.
- 7Nice to have: Professional licensing (PE, CEng, Chartered), openBIM scripting (ifcopenshell, Python), clash detection/model checking (Navisworks, Solibri), engineering analysis tools (ETABS, SAP2000, Robot, Tekla), custom BIM families, or prior data annotation for AI projects.
