AI/ML Engineer | $70-$200/hr Remote
Overview
This role focuses on designing and implementing AI/ML systems using large language models (LLMs), retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and multi-agent orchestration for mission-critical government initiatives and micro1's proprietary AI infrastructure. The engineer will work with secure cloud environments like AWS GovCloud and build robust data pipelines, APIs, and multi-agent frameworks to deliver scalable and impactful machine learning solutions.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design, implement, and optimize AI/ML models particularly leveraging LLMs, RAG, and prompt engineering for production-grade applications.
- 2Develop and orchestrate multi-agent systems using frameworks such as LangGraph and LangChain.
- 3Integrate and deploy solutions on secure cloud environments, including AWS GovCloud, Google GovCloud, Azure IL5+, Vertex AI, and AWS Bedrock.
- 4Build robust data pipelines, manage ETL processes, and develop metadata catalogs and ontologies to ensure high-quality data for AI training and inference.
- 5Create and maintain REST APIs and SDK integrations to facilitate seamless data and model interactions.
- 6Collaborate with product, security, and engineering teams to ensure best-in-class delivery, following secure coding and DevOps best practices (CI/CD).
- 7Document technical decisions and communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements7
- 1Proficiency in Python for AI/ML development, including experience with REST APIs and SDK integration.
- 2Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG systems, and prompt engineering in production environments.
- 3Familiarity with multi-agent orchestration, tool use, and frameworks like LangGraph and LangChain.
- 4Deep understanding of cloud AI services (AWS GovCloud, Google GovCloud, Azure IL5+, Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock).
- 5Background in building and maintaining data pipelines, ontologies, metadata catalogs, and ETL processes.
- 6Strong grasp of secure coding and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines).
- 7Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation.
Who Should Apply
Ideal candidates are experienced AI/ML engineers with strong Python skills and a proven track record of deploying LLM-based systems in production. They should be comfortable with multi-agent orchestration and secure cloud environments (especially government cloud). Experience with data pipelines and DevOps is also important, along with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
