- 7Review and validate engineering tasks for numerical and physical correctness.
- 8Diagnose non-convergence, unstable solutions, incorrect results, and physically invalid outputs.
Requirements9
- 1MS or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering with an aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, or thermofluids specialization; or a BS in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering plus 1-2 years of aero-specific professional or research experience.
- 2Solid grasp of fluid mechanics and applied aerodynamics.
- 3Experience formulating and executing CFD or aerodynamic analyses.
- 4Practical proficiency with Python.
- 5Experience with at least one engineering tool or library that can be operated through a CLI, scripting interface, configuration files, or programmatic API.
- 6Ability to select and justify modeling assumptions, boundary conditions, mesh strategies, and solver settings.
- 7Ability to communicate technical reasoning and engineering trade-offs clearly.
- 8Familiarity with tools such as OpenFOAM, SU2, Gmsh, FEniCSx, Elmer, CalculiX, SciPy, or similar programmatic engineering software.
- 9Comfort with Python libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, pandas, Matplotlib, Jupyter, solver APIs, or mesh-processing libraries.
Who Should Apply
This role suits an engineer with a strong foundation in aerodynamics and fluid mechanics who enjoys building and debugging CFD workflows through code. You should have hands-on experience with Python and at least one CLI-accessible simulation tool, and be ready to start within 24-48 hours of onboarding.
