What You'll Do7

• Build realistic post production scenarios that start with raw footage and end at a locked cut, matching what an editor would genuinely receive on a job.
• Write reference critiques that spell out the editorial logic behind each cut, covering pacing, continuity, color and sound choices.
• Assess AI-generated video for continuity errors, pacing problems, motion quality, and whether the result would clear a client review.
• Walk through timeline and motion workflows inside Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or After Effects the way a working editor handles them day to day.
• Document your reasoning in clear written English so the judgments become teachable reference material rather than personal taste.
• Add motion graphics or animation work where your background supports it, including 2D and 3D sequences.
• Keep your own hours and adjust weekly output up or down depending on what else you have running.

• Two or more years of professional video editing or post production work with delivered projects behind you.
• Hands-on command of at least one professional NLE: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut.
• A reel or portfolio showing finished work you edited.
• Written English strong enough to explain editorial decisions in a way another person can follow and learn from.
• Availability for a minimum of 10 hours each week.
• Motion graphics or 2D and 3D animation skills in After Effects, Cinema 4D, or Blender (preferred).
• Color grading or sound design experience (preferred).
• Background in broadcast, agency work, or high volume social content (preferred).

Who Should Apply

Editors with at least two years of delivered work and a reel to show, who live inside a professional NLE and can explain why a cut lands. Motion designers and animators with After Effects, Cinema 4D, or Blender depth fit well too, as long as editing craft comes first. Strong written English matters here as much as the timeline work.
