Overview
micro1 is hiring Tamil Bilingual Experts for a language and AI training project. You will listen to Tamil audio clips and judge how natural and fluent the speech sounds, then write your assessments in English. No AI background is needed. Your Tamil language skills and ear for pronunciation and intonation are what count. The role is remote and contractor-based.
What You'll Do7
- Review Tamil audio recordings and rate the speaker's or model's fluency and nativeness.
- Check pronunciation, intonation, and overall linguistic authenticity against project guidelines.
- Write clear feedback in English that documents each assessment and the linguistic factors behind it.
- Give detailed reasons for every evaluation so results stay consistent and easy to follow.
- Work with project coordinators to resolve questions or unclear points in the language content.
- Share observations that help improve how AI models understand and generate Tamil.
- Complete assigned audio reviews on schedule while keeping quality high.
Requirements7
- Native-level Tamil, with strong spoken and written command of the language.
- English at B2 or above, especially for writing and speaking.
- A background in voice work, linguistics, phonetics, audio engineering, or a similar field is preferred.
- Experience with audio analysis, transcription, or linguistic assessment is a plus.
- Keen attention to detail and the ability to explain subtle language differences.
- Clear, accurate written and verbal communication.
- Familiarity with media, communications, or teaching is an asset.
