Requirements9
- 1Strong expertise in at least one relevant STEM or scientific domain.
- 2Practical proficiency with Python or other coding languages.
- 3Strong scientific, mathematical, or quantitative problem-solving ability.
- 4Experience using coding agents in your workflow.
- 5Familiarity with Python tools such as NumPy, SciPy, pandas, SymPy, Jupyter, or domain-specific scientific libraries is helpful, though no particular library is mandatory.
- 6Expertise may come from academic research, industry, teaching, engineering, independent technical work, or other demonstrated experience.
- 7A specific degree or number of years of experience is not strictly required if you can demonstrate strong expertise in your field.
- 8Deep expertise in at least one of the following: Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Earth Science/Geoscience/Environmental Science, or Robotics.
- 9Adjacent scientific or quantitative disciplines may also be considered where your expertise is directly relevant.
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate holds an MSc or PhD in a STEM field and has deep expertise in at least one of these areas: Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Earth Science/Geoscience/Environmental Science, or Robotics. You should be comfortable with Python and coding agents, and able to solve, review, and validate complex technical problems. This role suits someone who can work independently and start within 24–48 hours of onboarding.
Salary Insight
Pay is $60–$120 per hour. Compensation is output-based: experts are paid per task that meets the project specifications. The time required to complete each task may vary depending on your experience and workflow. Minimum submission requirements apply.

Micro1
VerifiedStem Expert for AI Training Python Pro in Remote Contract
micro1 seeks STEM specialists to join an AI training project that blends technical problem-solving with scientific reasoning. You will work as an independent contractor, roughly 15 hours per week, on a schedule you control, including weekends if you prefer. The core of the job is coding-heavy: you will use Python to compute, simulate, and validate solutions, then judge whether AI-generated answers hold up. Deep expertise in one area such as Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Earth Science, or Robotics is what matters most. Pay ranges from $80 to $150 per hour, and the role is fully remote worldwide.

Micro1
VerifiedSTEM Expert – Biology & Bioinformatics (PhD)
This contract role puts your biology and bioinformatics background to work on AI benchmarking projects. You will design and critique computational biology workflows, assess pipelines for genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, and related data, and help validate biology-focused AI models. The position is fully remote and open to applicants worldwide. You will collaborate with a customer team, documenting methods and explaining technical concepts to both scientific and non-scientific partners.

Turing
VerifiedAgentic Life Science Expert
Turing seeks life sciences researchers with serious computational skills to build realistic tasks for AI agents. You will design workflows where an agent must navigate data, run code, use computational tools, fix intermediate problems, and deliver scientifically sound results. The goal is to test whether AI can carry out real multi-step scientific work, not just answer questions. Tasks run inside controlled, network-isolated sandboxes and need to be self-contained and reproducible, often using Python, command-line tools, scientific libraries, or domain software. Your work shapes how agentic systems are evaluated across fields like bioinformatics, computational genomics, and biostatistics.

Micro1
VerifiedMechanical Engineering Expert (MSc. or PhD)
micro1 seeks a Mechanical Engineering expert to join an AI training project. You will build and check engineering tasks that span structural, thermal, mechanical, and multiphysics work. A typical assignment might involve turning physical requirements into a computational model, generating geometry or a mesh, setting materials and boundary conditions, running a simulation, and judging whether the result meets design constraints. This is a coding-heavy role, so comfort with Python and coding agents is central. The position is fully remote and global, with about 15 hours per week on a flexible schedule you control.

Micro1
VerifiedSTEM Expert – Chemistry & Computational Chemistry (PhD)
This contract role puts your chemistry PhD to work on AI training and benchmarking. You will design and critique problems, workflows, and reasoning chains across areas like reaction mechanisms, molecular simulations, and spectroscopy. The position is fully remote and open to candidates worldwide. Your daily output will directly shape how models learn and reason about chemistry.

Turing
VerifiedAgentic Life Science Expert - Remote Computational Biology
Turing needs life sciences researchers who can turn authentic scientific workflows into structured tasks that AI agents execute from start to finish. You will build challenges where an agent inspects data, writes and runs code, picks the right computational method, troubleshoots midway failures, and lands on a defensible scientific result. Tasks live in controlled, network-isolated sandboxes, so everything from Python scripts to command-line tools and domain software must be self-contained and reproducible. Your work directly shapes how well AI systems handle real multi-step science rather than simple question answering. Expect to validate assumptions, code, and outputs, then package each task with verifiable ground truth and grading criteria.
