Stem Expert for AI Training Python Pro in Remote Contract
Overview
Global remote contractor role for a STEM specialist who can tackle AI training tasks that mix technical problem solving, data analysis, and Python work. You’ll analyze scientific or mathematical problems, craft solid reference solutions, and assess AI-generated results for accuracy. Deep expertise in one core area is expected, with room for adjacent disciplines. The work is flexible in schedule and paid per task, around 15 hours weekly.
What You'll Do6
- 1Solve advanced problems within your domain and produce rigorous, reproducible solutions.
- 2Review AI-generated answers for factual, mathematical, and scientific validity and flag issues.
- 3Identify incorrect assumptions, missing constraints, or subtle errors in reasoning and document them clearly.
- 4Use Python to run computations, simulations, or validate solutions and results.
- 5Explain technical reasoning and corrections in a clear, concise manner.
- 6Interpret equations, experimental findings, datasets, diagrams, or literature where relevant and perform sanity checks.
Requirements5
- 1Deep expertise in at least one STEM or scientific domain such as Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Earth/Geoscience/Environmental Science, Linguistics/Computational Linguistics, or Robotics.
- 2Practical experience programming in Python and using tools like NumPy, SciPy, pandas, SymPy, or Jupyter notebook environments.
- 3Strong ability to reason about assumptions, constraints, edge cases, and sources of error.
- 4Proven skill in explaining complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
- 5Experience validating, reviewing, or troubleshooting technical work.
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate is a domain expert who can produce and validate high quality reference solutions and reason about technical results. This role may not be suitable for someone seeking full-time steady employment or someone without hands-on Python experience. Common fit challenges include lack of demonstrable domain depth or limited exposure to scientific computation and data analysis. A typical rejection reason is insufficient domain mastery or difficulty articulating technical reasoning and corrections.
Salary Insight
Pay is task-based and disclosed as a hourly range of 50 to 100 dollars. Exact pay depends on the task and the expert’s efficiency; no numbers are fixed here. Pay discussion occurs within the engagement process.
