Overview
micro1 seeks Shopify Specialists to bring real-world e-commerce knowledge to a customer project. You will review and refine task structures that train next-generation AI systems, focusing on Shopify's data model and e-commerce analytics. This is a remote contractor role, roughly 5 to 10 hours per week. No AI background is needed. Your hands-on Shopify experience is what counts.
What You'll Do7
- 1Examine proposed Shopify and e-commerce task structures to spot where they stray from actual platform workflows and data models.
- 2Deliver clear written and verbal feedback on how realistic and complete analytical scenarios and deliverables are.
- 3Guide the alignment of analytic tasks with real-world use by advising on Shopify's core data objects: orders, products, customers, and reporting.
- 4Point out gaps, edge cases, or unrealistic assumptions in scenario framing using your direct hands-on experience.
- 5Recommend improvements to task structures, terminology, and metrics based on best practices in the Shopify and e-commerce ecosystem.
- 6Check that terminology and definitions match standard Shopify and e-commerce analytics language.
- 7Propose additional cases or refinements that better reflect the operator and analyst perspective.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of deep, hands-on experience in the Shopify ecosystem, spanning store operations, development, or analytics.
- 2Comprehensive knowledge of Shopify's data model, including orders, products, customers, and reporting.
- 3Strong foundation in e-commerce analytics: conversion, retention, cohort, and revenue measurements.
- 4Proven ability to communicate feedback clearly and effectively in both written and verbal forms.
- 5Direct experience advising on best practices for structuring Shopify-related analytical work.
- 6Experience with multiple Shopify stores, or as a consultant or agency professional (nice to have).
- 7Familiarity with Shopify Plus, advanced reporting, and analytical tools such as SQL or BI platforms like Looker (a plus).
