Senior Master Data Specialist
Overview
This role is for an experienced professional to lead Master Data Management efforts during a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation. You will drive data governance, standardize processes, and collaborate across global supply chain teams—from Planning to Quality—to ensure high-quality master data supports business operations and reporting.
What You'll Do9
- 1Review existing master data structures to pinpoint risks, gaps, and opportunities for standardization.
- 2Champion improvements in master data processes and encourage the adoption of governance best practices.
- 3Work closely with Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality teams to align data strategies.
- 4Validate data solutions to maintain integrity across ERP, reporting, and downstream systems.
- 5Lead data cleansing, migration, and mapping activities to support the transformation.
- 6Partner with deployment teams to ensure operational readiness for new systems and processes.
- 7Design the master data operating model and harmonize processes across different business units.
- 8Establish KPIs, SLAs, capacity models, and continuous improvement initiatives to measure and enhance data quality.
- 9Provide leadership throughout the ERP/SAP S/4HANA transformation program, mentoring teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
Requirements6
- 18–12 years of experience in Master Data Management, with a focus on Material and/or Business Partner data.
- 2Hands-on expertise with SAP ERP / SAP S/4HANA and MDG (Master Data Governance).
- 3Solid understanding of supply chain processes including Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Logistics.
- 4Strong grasp of data governance and data quality principles, with a track record of applying them in enterprise settings.
- 5Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills—able to influence senior leaders and mentor teams.
- 6Proven experience leading enterprise-wide master data transformation programs and defining operating models, governance frameworks, KPIs, and SLAs.
