Senior BMC Helix CMDB Consultant
Overview
We're looking for a seasoned BMC Helix CMDB Consultant to join our team in Pune for a 6-month contract. In this role, you'll be the go-to expert for configuring, implementing, and maintaining CMDB solutions—ensuring data accuracy and seamless integration across the IT service management landscape. You'll work closely with infrastructure and service management teams to keep the CMDB reliable and governance strong.
What You'll Do9
- 1Install, fine-tune, and maintain BMC Helix CMDB environments to support IT operations.
- 2Operate and optimize BMC Helix Discovery for automated collection of asset and configuration data.
- 3Design and manage Configuration Items (CIs), their relationships, and CMDB data models to reflect the real infrastructure.
- 4Support BMC Helix ITSM modules and workflows, ensuring smooth integration with CMDB.
- 5Enforce CMDB data quality through reconciliation, normalization, and ongoing governance practices.
- 6Connect BMC Helix with enterprise applications and third-party tools using APIs and other integration methods.
- 7Diagnose and resolve CMDB and Discovery-related issues quickly to minimize downtime.
- 8Partner with infrastructure, application, and service management teams to boost CMDB accuracy.
- 9Create clear technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for stakeholders.
Requirements7
- 1At least 6+ years of hands-on experience with the BMC Helix Suite.
- 2Deep expertise in BMC Helix CMDB—including configuration, data modeling, and lifecycle management.
- 3Strong command of BMC Helix Discovery for automated data collection and reconciliation.
- 4Solid experience with BMC Helix ITSM modules and related workflows.
- 5Understanding of CMDB architecture, CI lifecycle, reconciliation rules, and data governance best practices.
- 6Proven ability to integrate BMC Helix using APIs or other standard integration techniques.
- 7Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills—able to work with cross-functional teams.
