Senior Power BI Developer
Overview
We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Power BI Developer to join a global Banking & Financial Services engagement. You’ll design enterprise-grade dashboards, build semantic models, and work directly with US-based stakeholders. This hybrid role based in Bangalore requires deep expertise in Power BI, DAX, SQL, and a strong grasp of data governance in regulated environments.
What You'll Do5
- 1Design and develop scalable Power BI dashboards and reports for executive leadership and business users.
- 2Translate business requirements into analytical solutions, building reusable semantic models and optimized datasets.
- 3Write complex SQL queries for data extraction and transformation, and ensure reporting accuracy through rigorous validation.
- 4Optimize report performance, manage incremental refresh and data gateways, and maintain Row-Level Security (RLS).
- 5Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, and Product Owners to support UAT, deployments, and production enhancements.
Requirements4
- 18–10 years of BI development experience with expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and Power Query (M).
- 2Strong SQL skills – query optimization, stored procedures, views – combined with solid data warehousing knowledge.
- 3Experience working directly with business stakeholders and senior leadership, with excellent communication and presentation skills.
- 4Familiarity with additional BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, or Cognos is a plus, as is knowledge of Python for reporting automation.
