Radiologist for Remote AI Annotation and Landmark Labeling
Overview
A remote contractor role for a radiologist who will contribute domain expertise to a client’s advanced annotation project. You’ll help train next‑gen AI systems by delivering high‑quality, real‑world input that informs how models learn and reason. No AI experience is required; your anatomical knowledge is the key asset.
What You'll Do7
- 1Annotate hand and finger landmarks using MediaPipe‑style topology with careful attention to accuracy and project guidelines
- 2Mark anatomical joints across the wrist, MCP, PIP, DIP, fingertips, and thumb joints (CMC, MCP, IP, thumb tip) according to defined criteria
- 3Place landmarks precisely within established annotation protocols and tolerance thresholds
- 4Infer and annotate joints and landmarks when they are partially occluded or difficult to visualize, using sound reasoning about hand positions and object interactions
- 5Interpret varied hand poses, orientations, and viewpoints to keep annotations consistent across image and video data
- 6Review feedback, spot deviations from requirements, and implement corrections to sustain high‑quality annotations at scale
- 7Operate within quality controls to ensure annotations meet the project’s standards for accuracy and consistency
Requirements6
- 1Expert knowledge of anatomy related to the hand and fingers
- 2Experience annotating or labeling visual data with high attention to detail
- 3Ability to apply measurement tolerances and follow precise protocols
- 4Comfort analyzing occluded or challenging visual data and making reasoned judgments
- 5Strong visual reasoning skills and the capacity to work with image and video inputs
- 6Familiarity with quality assurance processes and the ability to implement feedback
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate is a radiologist with deep anatomical knowledge of the hand who can annotate landmarks and joints accurately on images and videos. This role suits professionals who can work remotely as contractors and are comfortable following strict guidelines. It may be less suitable for applicants who lack experience with image labeling, anatomy beyond the hand, or with a preference for in‑person teams. Common fit concerns include limited experience with annotation protocols or difficulty maintaining precision across large data sets; candidates who cannot adhere to defined tolerances or who struggle with occluded views may score lower.
