Video Data Annotator for Robotics Footage
Overview
A remote contractor role focused on labeling robotics video data to help train AI systems. You’ll follow project guidelines to annotate footage, score quality, and flag actions, objects, or events with precision. Collaboration with the micro1 team ensures consistent standards and clear feedback on guidelines and scoring. This position relies on strong domain knowledge rather than prior AI experience, and you’ll contribute to real-world datasets used to improve model performance. Key work rests on delivering accurate annotations within project timelines and maintaining quality checks, in a remote setup.
What You'll Do7
- 1Annotate robotics footage according to the project guidelines and scoring criteria.
- 2Evaluate video segments for data quality, relevance, and accuracy using the provided scoring rubric.
- 3Label actions, objects, or events in video data with clarity and completeness.
- 4Coordinate with the micro1 team to resolve annotation ambiguities and align on standards.
- 5Record decision rationales and offer input to improve the clarity of guidelines.
- 6Carry out ongoing quality assurance to ensure annotations meet project deliverables and requirements.
- 7Submit completed annotations and evaluations within established deadlines.
Requirements5
- 1Mid-level experience in video data annotation across multiple platforms or projects.
- 2Strong attention to detail and a track record of high-quality, precise labeling.
- 3Excellent written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
- 4Experience with robotics footage or robotics-related annotation tasks is highly preferred.
- 5Ability to interpret complex annotation guidelines and scoring rubrics.
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate has solid experience annotating video data and a keen eye for detail, with familiarity in robotics-related footage. This role is less suitable for someone without remote collaboration experience or lacking comfort following structured annotation guidelines. Candidates may be rejected for weak documentation of decision rationale or inconsistent adherence to scoring rubrics, and for not meeting the project’s quality standards or turnaround expectations.
