Qa Engineer With Manual And Automated Testing Expertise
Overview
A full-time QA Engineer is needed to ensure our products perform reliably and meet quality standards. The role involves testing new features, documenting issues, and expanding test coverage while collaborating with engineers and product teams throughout the development cycle. You’ll balance manual testing with automation work to uphold a high quality bar as we ship rapidly. You should bring solid manual testing fundamentals and hands-on automation experience to the team. Automation Testing and QA practices are central to the role.
What You'll Do9
- 1Own testing activities for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes across the product
- 2Create, execute, and maintain thorough manual test cases and scenarios
- 3Log, track, and verify defects across the development lifecycle
- 4Develop and maintain automated tests to boost regression coverage and efficiency
- 5Conduct functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across the product
- 6Collaborate with engineers and product managers to understand requirements and assess risks
- 7Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to release planning and validation
- 8Suggest improvements to QA processes and overall product quality
- 9Prioritize testing efforts and transparently communicate blockers and risks throughout development
Requirements8
- 1Proven QA experience in agile, fast-moving environments
- 2Strong manual testing skills including test planning and execution
- 3Hands-on experience building, maintaining, and running automated tests and frameworks
- 4Experience with functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing
- 5Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, QA processes, and release validation
- 6Familiarity with bug-tracking systems, test management tools, and version control
- 7Ability to identify, reproduce, and verify defects through to resolution
- 8Knowledge of test coverage strategies and QA best practices
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative setting and has a track record of delivering solid QA outcomes in agile teams. This role may not be the right fit for someone who lacks hands-on automation experience or who cannot work remotely with cross-functional partners. Common red flags include limited exposure to regression and integration testing, or weak experience with defect tracking and test management tools. Candidates who cannot demonstrate concrete QA practices or a clear approach to release validation may score lower on fit.
