Producer (Film/TV/Digital/Live) | $45-$85/hr Remote
Overview
micro1 is hiring experienced producers to support AI evaluation by building realistic production scenarios. You will craft production-management tasks and artifacts that test how models reason about budgets, schedules, and vendor coordination. Your real-world production knowledge is the core qualification; no prior AI experience is needed. This remote contractor role pays $45-$85 per hour and requires a steady weekly output of completed tasks.
What You'll Do7
- 1Design and write evaluation scenarios that mirror genuine production challenges, such as budget reconciliation, schedule rework, and vendor or crew coordination.
- 2Source and assemble authentic production documents, including budgets, contracts, call sheets, delivery timelines, and crew assignments.
- 3Determine the correct decisions and solutions for each scenario, accounting for multiple production constraints and trade-offs.
- 4Build detailed scoring rubrics with 35 or more criteria to assess decision quality, constraint handling, and reasoned judgment.
- 5Document your workflows and rationale in clear, formal written English suitable for AI benchmarking and technical review.
- 6Collaborate with the product team to refine task designs and keep them aligned with current industry practices.
- 7Contribute field insights to ensure every task feels authentic and reflects the complexity of real production operations.
Requirements6
- 15+ years of credited production experience in film, television, digital, or live events, with hands-on management of budgets, call sheets, and contracts.
- 2Direct responsibility for coordinating vendors and crew under tight timelines, balancing cost, time, and resource constraints.
- 3Strong written and verbal communication for producing technical and process documentation.
- 4Experience designing or scoring multi-criteria rubrics or technical assessment tools.
- 5Comfort working independently in a remote, asynchronous environment with minimal oversight.
- 6Strong analytical judgment and a commitment to maintaining high industry standards in evaluation benchmarks.
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate is a seasoned producer with deep hands-on experience in budget management and crew coordination. They can translate complex production decisions into clear, structured evaluation tasks. This role is less suitable for producers who focus only on creative direction and lack direct involvement in budgets or call sheets. Candidates often get rejected when they cannot show specific examples of managing multi-constraint trade-offs or when they submit generic production experience without quantification. Another common pitfall is underestimating the time needed to meet the weekly output minimum.
Salary Insight
The pay rate is $45-$85 per hour, based on task completion and meeting project specifications. The exact per-task amount varies with complexity and your workflow. Minimum weekly task submissions are required. If you have questions about pay, they will be discussed during the hiring process.
