What You'll Do5

  • 2Detect and document errors such as missing assumptions, dimensional inconsistencies, unjustified steps, or weak reasoning, and explain the scientific rationale behind each finding.
  • 3Differentiate between substantive scientific issues and stylistic concerns, giving feedback that is both technically precise and constructive.
  • 4Use LaTeX, SymPy, Python, and Jupyter to independently verify scientific claims and confirm the correctness of derivations.
  • 5Deliver structured, written feedback aimed at helping researchers iteratively improve their work and achieve better project outcomes.

Requirements4

  • 1A PhD in physics with an active research record in a specialized subfield such as high-energy physics, biophysics, condensed matter, quantum optics, or gravitation/cosmology.
  • 2Experience as a postdoctoral researcher, research fellow, junior/assistant professor, or senior research scientist, with recent publications (within the last ~5 years) that include arXiv or DOI links.
  • 3Advanced proficiency with LaTeX, SymPy, Python, and Jupyter for theoretical modeling and computational validation.
  • 4Demonstrated ability to review others' work — through peer review, supervision, dissertation committees, or group seminars — and provide constructive, technically rigorous feedback.
