Pharmacologist | $120-$170/hr Remote
Overview
This remote contract role places a clinical pharmacologist at the center of an AI evaluation pipeline. You will build the pharmacology layer for synthetic data rooms, producing PK/PD datasets, dose escalation schemes, and bioanalytical reports that are defensible under expert review. You will also author dose rationale documents and interaction sections, then design prompts, golden outputs, and scoring rubrics that measure whether an AI agent can replicate your work. The engagement runs 20 to 30 hours per week and pays an hourly rate.
What You'll Do7
- 1Generate credible PK/PD datasets and exposure-response relationships from study protocols and SAPs.
- 2Build dosing and escalation regimens for synthetic data rooms that reconcile with efficacy and safety outputs.
- 3Produce bioanalytical reports and concentration data summaries that support dose rationale.
- 4Author dose selection rationale and drug concentration and response sections for clinical pharmacology documents.
- 5Write drug-drug and drug-disease interaction content for each data room.
- 6Design prompts, golden outputs, and rubrics that score an AI agent's ability to perform clinical pharmacology tasks.
- 7Ensure all generated pharmacology data withstands expert scrutiny and aligns with pre-market program standards.
Requirements8
- 1Hold a PharmD, PhD in pharmacology or pharmacokinetics, MD, or equivalent terminal degree.
- 2Have at least 5 years of clinical pharmacology experience; 10 to 25 years is a strong preference.
- 3Reside in the United States, Canada, or France.
- 4Make 20 to 25 hours per week available, and prioritize 30 or more.
- 5Have supported Phase 1-3 pre-market programs as a clinical pharmacologist with direct hands-on PK/PD modeling.
- 6Demonstrate experience with dose selection, dose escalation, and exposure-response analysis.
- 7Show first-in-human study experience, which is a strong plus.
- 8Work from a protocol and SAP to produce pharmacology data that survives expert review.
Who Should Apply
The ideal candidate is a clinical pharmacologist with deep pre-market experience who enjoys turning complex protocol data into coherent, defensible outputs. You should be comfortable authoring regulatory-style documents and also building evaluation tasks for AI systems. This role is less suitable for researchers who only work in academia or who lack direct Phase 1-3 pharmacology exposure. Common rejection reasons include hands-off PK/PD experience, an inability to commit the required weekly hours, or weak prompt and rubric writing skills.
Salary Insight
The pay is $120 to $170 per hour, tied to your experience and the specific project role. At the top of the range, this matches rates for senior clinical pharmacologists who bring both regulatory writing and AI task design expertise.

Application Tip
When you apply, attach a brief summary of one pre-market program where your PK/PD work shaped a dose decision. Name the exact analysis you ran, the software you used, and how you presented the results to reviewers.
