• Build network scenarios that mirror real work, from a design question through an outage that needs diagnosis.
• Write the reference answer for each scenario and explain why one design or troubleshooting path beats the alternatives.
• Review model responses and score them on protocol correctness and on whether the proposed fix would survive a live network.
• Call out configurations that look right on paper yet would cause an outage if an engineer applied them.
• Document your reasoning in clear written English so reviewers and the labs can follow the logic.
• Keep grading consistent as you take on more project work within your specialty.

Requirements8

• Two or more years in network engineering or network administration.
• Hands-on work with routing, switching and firewalls in production settings.
• Working depth on BGP, OSPF, VLANs and VPNs.
• Written English strong enough to explain a design choice or a troubleshooting step to a reader who was not there.
• Capacity for at least 10 hours each week, with no upper limit.
• Preferred: CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA or a comparable certification.
• Preferred: network automation with Python or Ansible.
• Preferred: cloud networking across AWS, Azure or GCP.

Who Should Apply

A working network engineer or administrator with at least two years on production routing, switching and firewalls, and comfortable writing up the reasoning behind a design call. Certifications such as CCNA or CCNP, plus Python or Ansible automation, strengthen the case.
