Overview
This contract role puts your molecular biology expertise to work in a unique way — you'll help train the next generation of AI systems by providing high-quality, real-world biological data. No AI experience is needed; your deep knowledge of gene editing and molecular techniques is what matters. You'll design experiments, analyze results, and collaborate with a remote team to transform lab findings into structured data that teaches AI models how to reason and learn.
What You'll Do7
- 1Lead the creation and execution of CRISPR-based gene editing experiments, from design through optimization.
- 2Develop cloning strategies to build new genetic constructs and stable cell lines for research.
- 3Run genotyping assays, PCR-based tests, and sequence analyses to confirm genetic modifications.
- 4Design synthetic DNA and RNA sequences, and help build screening logic for high-throughput workflows.
- 5Work with cross-functional teams to convert experimental results into formats that AI models can learn from.
- 6Use molecular biology methods to study and characterize molecules, organelles, and cellular structures.
- 7Document all procedures and findings clearly and precisely to support reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
Requirements8
- 1Deep hands-on experience with CRISPR technology and full gene editing workflows.
- 2Proven skill in cloning, genotyping, and PCR-based assays.
- 3Solid background in sequence design and molecular screening strategies.
- 4Strong written and verbal communication with a sharp eye for scientific detail.
- 5Ability to research and analyze molecular and organelle functions within cells.
- 6Commitment to data accuracy, workflow optimization, and experimental rigor.
- 7Self-motivated and collaborative, with a record of contributing to high-impact research.
- 8Bachelor’s degree or higher in Molecular Biology, Biology, or a closely related field.
Who Should Apply
We're looking for an experienced molecular biologist who thrives on precision and enjoys seeing their work have a broader impact. If you're fluent in CRISPR, cloning, and genotyping, and you're curious about how AI can learn from real biological data, this role is for you. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote setting, documenting everything thoroughly, and collaborating with engineers who speak a different technical language.
