Overview
AfterQuery builds AI training content for healthcare reasoning, and this contract puts a certified Medical Assistant in charge of the clinical material that tests those models. You will design case studies and questions covering patient intake, vital signs assessment, EHR documentation, lab procedures and pharmacology basics, then judge how well a model answers them. A group of healthcare and technical reviewers works with you to keep difficulty calibrated. The engagement runs remote and asynchronous at roughly 15 hours a week, so you choose your own blocks of time. AfterQuery is a YC-backed startup.
What You'll Do5
- 1Write clinical questions and case studies that push AI models past simple recall, covering areas such as patient intake, vital signs, medical procedures, EHR documentation, laboratory work and pharmacology fundamentals.
- 2Score model answers against medical assisting standards of practice, flagging anything a working assistant would call wrong or unsafe.
- 3Give detailed written feedback on each response so the model learns where its clinical reasoning falls apart.
- 4Work with healthcare and technical teammates to adjust question difficulty, keeping items hard enough to be useful and clear enough to teach.
- 5Hold clinical accuracy steady across the question bank as new topics and cases move through review.
Requirements7
- 1Active CMA, RMA, CCMA or equivalent Medical Assistant certification that remains in good standing.
- 2Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program, or training a hiring team accepts as equal.
- 3Hands-on clinical practice with working knowledge of both the clinical and administrative sides of medical assisting.
- 4Strong analytical reading and clear writing, plus the discipline to catch small clinical details other reviewers skip.
- 5Several years of medical assisting practice, with time in settings such as primary care, specialty clinics or urgent care.
- 6Background in healthcare training, quality improvement work or health technology projects.
- 7Extra certifications such as phlebotomy or EKG carry weight.
