Marketing Expert - AI Model Evaluation (Remote)
Listing checked September 22, 2026 · pay as published by AfterQuery
Overview
AfterQuery hires a Marketing Expert to build and review marketing challenges that train AI models. The contract runs 15 hours per week, remote and asynchronous, so you shape your schedule around project milestones. You will write case studies and questions across brand strategy, digital marketing, consumer behavior, market positioning, and campaign optimization. A team of marketing and technical experts works with you to calibrate difficulty and keep every item useful for model learning. The company is YC-backed and focuses on high-caliber content for AI development.
What You'll Do6
- 1Create marketing questions and case studies that test AI models on brand strategy, digital marketing, consumer behavior, market positioning, campaign optimization, and related topics.
- 2Review model answers for logical flow, marketing accuracy, and alignment with accepted practices.
- 3Write detailed evaluations that identify gaps, errors, and unclear reasoning in model responses.
- 4Work with marketing specialists and engineers to adjust question difficulty and content quality.
- 5Refine case studies and prompts so each item remains challenging and instructive for model training.
- 6Validate model outputs against real-world marketing scenarios and strategic frameworks.
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 2Demonstrated marketing practice, strategy, or consulting background with knowledge across multiple marketing disciplines.
- 3Advanced analytical ability and clear written and spoken communication, with sharp attention to detail.
- 4Several years of marketing work or strategic marketing experience, ideally across varied industries and channels.
- 5Prior work on marketing publications, thought leadership, or martech projects.
- 6Familiarity with AI or technology-driven marketing tools.
Who Should Apply
The right candidate brings a marketing background that spans strategy, digital campaigns, and consumer research, with enough writing skill to turn those ideas into clear questions and critiques. You might come from consulting, brand marketing, growth, or martech, and you enjoy judging whether an answer follows sound marketing logic. This role suits people who can work alone on asynchronous tasks and still coordinate with editors and technical reviewers. Candidates who expect a traditional campaign management job, or who lack comfort with written analysis, often score low in this type of evaluation work. A common rejection reason is treating model review as simple proofreading instead of assessing strategic reasoning, or listing marketing channels without showing depth in any one area.
Salary Insight
The listing quotes $40.00 to $50.00 per hour for this contract. That range matches specialized marketing consulting or senior marketing work, and the 15-hour weekly commitment keeps the engagement part-time. Pay is tied to your subject matter depth, so candidates with years of strategy experience and martech exposure may sit near the top.

Application Tip
Show how you evaluate a marketing campaign by attaching a short writing sample or case study, since the work centers on written analysis and model response review. In your resume, name the marketing channels and strategy projects you have led, then add numbers that show their impact. If you have martech or AI marketing exposure, place it near the top. Vague claims about marketing knowledge will not help.
