Contractors work remotely and use their own professional equipment to capture clean, consistent audio in a controlled environment. Your recordings become part of a dataset that teaches those models how spoken Chinese sounds in the real world. You won't need any AI experience. The focus is on your recording craft and follow-through.
What You'll Do7
- 1Record and deliver high-resolution Mandarin audio takes on your own professional microphone and interface, following the exact specs in each work order.
- 2Run every submission through the project's quality and consistency guidelines so output stays uniform across all recordings.
- 3Prepare your recording room before each session: set mic levels, reduce reflections, and remove ambient noise sources.
- 4Capture a broad range of vocal samples, including different tones, emotional registers, and pronunciation patterns, to enrich model training.
- 5Review raw takes, edit out technical errors, and export final files that meet the agreed bit depth, sample rate, and linguistic criteria.
- 6Talk with project managers directly when instructions change, and incorporate their revision feedback in your next delivery.
- 7Log each delivered file and its accompanying metadata in the project folder for audit and tracking.

- 1Native Mandarin fluency with clear, steady pronunciation and accurate tones.
- 2Three or more years of professional audio recording work: studio voice-over, narration, podcasting, audiobook production, or radio.
- 3Hands-on proficiency with digital audio workstations (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Reaper) and a professional-grade mic, audio interface, and monitoring chain.
- 4Proven ability to record in a controlled space that produces clean takes without background noise, echo, or distortion.
- 5Strong attention to vocal mic technique and technical setup, from gain staging to file formatting.
- 6Clear, professional communication with the coordination team in writing and verbally.
