Overview
AfterQuery builds evaluation and training data for frontier AI labs, and the company needs licensed plumbers to write the trade scenarios those tests use. You will turn service-call knowledge into plumbing diagnosis cases, reference answers and grading notes that check whether a model respects UPC or IPC rules, safety and workmanship. The contract runs remote and async, with a 10-hour minimum each week and no ceiling. Pay comes through Stripe each week, and you set your own schedule around existing jobs. No tools, travel or job site work enters the picture.
What You'll Do4
- Author realistic service-call scenarios that move from first symptom through diagnosis to repair.
- Write model answers that lay out the diagnostic steps and the code reasoning behind each choice, including venting, slope and the relevant code section.
- Grade AI responses for code compliance, safety and workmanship.
- Flag advice that sounds workable but could flood a basement or taint a potable water supply.
Requirements8
- Active journeyman or master plumber license in a US state or jurisdiction.
- At least two years of field experience after your apprenticeship.
- Working command of plumbing codes such as UPC or IPC.
- Clear written English for explaining diagnostic reasoning.
- Availability for at least 10 hours per week.
- Master plumber or plumbing contractor license preferred.
- Depth in commercial work, medical gas systems or backflow prevention preferred.
- Experience with estimating, inspection or apprentice training preferred.
