Overview
As a German Language Expert at micro1, you will contribute to the development of next-generation AI systems by providing high-quality German speech data. Your recordings, annotations, and feedback will directly influence how language models understand and produce German. This role is ideal for native German speakers with a strong grasp of phonetics and pronunciation, regardless of prior AI experience. You will work remotely as a contractor, collaborating with the customer's team to ensure linguistic precision.
What You'll Do7
- Produce clear, high-quality German audio recordings for AI model training.
- Annotate speech data with attention to linguistic and phonetic detail.
- Help design and carry out speech data collection workflows.
- Assess AI-generated outputs and offer feedback to improve language understanding and pronunciation.
- Collaborate with the customer's team to maintain consistency and quality across tasks.
- Apply knowledge of German phonetics and pronunciation throughout the workflow.
- Communicate insights and documentation effectively in written and verbal form.

- Native fluency in German with familiarity with regional accents and nuances.
- Proficiency in annotation and speech data collection processes.
- Understanding of phonetics, pronunciation, and linguistic principles.
- Experience in audio recording (e.g., voice acting, audio engineering, podcasting, communications) is highly valued.
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for remote collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
