Overview
Collaborate with a leading AI research lab on an evaluation that tests whether frontier models can reason from first principles in engineering. You craft simulations and pass/fail spec sheets that the model must satisfy, spanning domains like control systems, analog circuits, and mechanical design. You get a direct view into the model's internal reasoning on your own tasks. The role runs through a browser-based studio and GitHub, with daily onboarding calls to get you up to speed.
What You'll Do5
- 1Build simulations for engineering domains such as control systems, power electronics, or mechanical design.
- 2Write specification sheets that define quantitative pass/fail thresholds for the final design.
- 3Compose the prompt that tells the model how many times it can probe the simulation and what to submit.
- 4Review the model's internal reasoning and judge whether it solved the task from first principles.
- 5Run the platform's agentic grader to score how well each submitted design meets the specs.
Requirements5
- 1Deep applied expertise in at least one of control systems, analog or RF circuits, power electronics, or mechanical design.
- 2A PhD or an equivalent industry track record that demonstrates hands-on engineering judgment.
