Electronic engineer (Ngspice expert) | $50-$120/hr Remote

Overview

This role involves applying expertise in Ngspice to develop and optimize electronic circuit simulations that help train next-generation AI systems. The engineer will collaborate with AI and data science teams to translate hardware requirements into robust simulation models, create documentation, and troubleshoot issues. No prior AI experience is required—domain knowledge in electronics is what matters most.

What You'll Do7

• 1Develop, analyze, and optimize electronic circuit simulations using Ngspice for AI training workflows.
• 2Collaborate with AI engineers and data scientists to translate hardware requirements into robust simulation models.
• 3Create comprehensive documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and reproducibility of simulation processes.
• 4Contribute technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle, from initial design to validation and optimization.
• 5Troubleshoot and resolve issues in electronic circuits and simulation scripts efficiently.
• 6Maintain up-to-date knowledge of electronic simulation methodologies and recommend best practices for continuous improvement.
• 7Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, to interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements7

• 1Proven hands-on expertise in Ngspice and electronic circuit simulation.
• 2Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electronic Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3Strong foundation in analog and digital circuit design principles.
• 4Demonstrated experience in developing, testing, and optimizing simulation models for complex electronic systems.
• 5Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to convey complex information clearly.
• 6Proficiency in technical documentation and reporting.
• 7Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
